ETA: There was thread on reforming 18 PACS 908 in the law section but it was moved to the lounge for unknown reasons. Rep. Mauree Gingrich has thus far refused to meet regarding knife laws in PA.If you don't know who your state legislators are go here:

Re: What are the laws for carrying a knife in Philly?
How strange. I grew up in NH, and we were always able to carry normal pocket knives (and OC firearms without a license).
I lived near Keene for years, attending college there part-time while scraping up enough for tuition. I get a kick out of seeing the "Ridley Report" on youtube these days. Apparently, the free state movement is trying to attract like-minded immigration back to the state for the numbers to enact some major changes.
If only I could sell my house in today's market, I'd move back in a heartbeat.

This is why it's good to have a profession which has it that you're ALWAYS on the job. If you own your own business, you're always marketing and/or doing research. If you're a psychologist, you're always observing behavior.
"You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws--that's insane!" -- Penn Jillette
"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." -- Ted Nugent

I'm a Systems Admin, I always need to, um, well I need my knife to, uh, open boxes and stuff. Some boxes are really hard to get in to without a knife. That packing tape is sticky.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
