Anyone read about these yet? Chiappa Rhino revolver.
http://chiappafirearms.com/product/725
There is also a bunch of videos on youtube about them. At first I thought it sounded rather interesting but I then noticed they require a special grip. The link for grip requirements is in red toward the bottom of the page I posted. I dont think it's anything I'll be looking into further but I would be happy to try one if anyone ever shows up at my range with one.

I read about them in some magazine a day or so ago. Not sure if it was Handgunner or not. They look kinda cool. Unique at least.

There's a feature review in the latest issue of American Rifleman about the Rhino. It got high marks, particulary for the low bore axis contributing to greatly reduced muzzle flip and perceived recoil, allowing much faster followup shots with .357 magnum loads. Makes sense -- it is a strange-looking gun, for sure, but I wouldn't mind giving one a try just to see what it's like.

One of these has been on my 'buy' list for a while. When I get a spare $800...
The biggest selling point is the low bore axis- the way the mechanism works, it 'shoots' from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top, so the recoil goes into straight in to your arm rather than relying on the force of the wrist. That, and the flat-sided cylinder, would make this a great pistol for my wife.
That said, I haven't seen one in person yet.
