Question on Ruger warranty

I'm picking up a nice Ruger Speed Six this week. Has a few cosmetic issues but no function issues at all. However, I was wondering about Rugers warranty for Six series revolvers. If an issue arises will a speed six be able to be repaired by Ruger. I know they have excellent customer service even with older guns, but I noticed that on their site they say they no longer service some older models. They don't say which ones however. Anybody know if they still work on these.

Ruger doesn't offer a written warranty for any of their guns. They do however state that they stand behind their guns and will fix them if they're broken - but it's not a warranty. If you're concerned about whether or not your gun would be covered, the easiest thing to do would be to call customer service and ask them.

I would recommend you take the revolver to a reputable gunsmith. He can check it over for you and would be able to make repairs or replace any worn parts.
Normal wear or abuse would not be covered under warrantee.
Ruger’s are well built, and unless abused should have many years of service left in it.
