Default Annual Sporting Goods Only Garage Sale

Ok folks, it's that time of year again to start planning the annual spring sporting goods only garage sale at my place.

Just like last time, anything goes as long as it is sporting goods related (NO romance novels, pots and pans [other than cast iron], applicances,etc.).

Here are some dates to consider, look your work schedule over and see what might work best for you. I will do like always and sell your stuff for you if you want. If this is the case, I'll tell you what you need to do.

    May 20-21
    May 27-28
    June 3-4

I will do the advertising and people can help pay for that if they wish.

Here is some of what I know will be included:

Dillion Square Deal B in .38/.357
    RCBS Powder Trickler
    Older Kinetic bullet puller
2 - Sonju Industrial Billet AR stripped lowers
SKS, VG condition (with bayonet and gernade launcher adapter)
    Custom AR in 9mm
Taurus PT25 (Nickel with Rosewood grips)
Ruger Mark III (5 1/2" bull barrel, NIB)
Ruger Security Six (2 3/4" barrel, .357 mag)
    Ruger P94 (9mm, SS)
    Reloading stuff
empty cases (lots of .38 spl)
    some mil surp
Weapon Shield (both pens and 4 oz bottles)
    Chamber flags
Snap caps (.22LR and .38 IIRC)
    other misc stuff.

Once we decide on a date, and people tell me what they are bringing to sell I'll do a more comprehensive post to let eveyone on the forum know about it.

So, start gathering that stuff that has just been sitting around and get those visions of the cash it could bring (to buy new sporting goodies) in your head. These sales in the past have typically gone over real good and a lot of people have done well selling off their unwant/unused items.

Ron, Has historically PSU graduation brought in more people to the garage sale? If so you may want to think of doing it the weekend of May 13-15 (if you are in town). Food for thought...

If it's the weekend of the 13th-15th I would definitely drop by, otherwise I will be gone by the next weekend

The June weekend is best for me, or maybe the previously-mentioned may 14-15 weekend.

You'll see me at some point, regardless.

Maybe with some more empty casings that won't sell like last year

I hadn't mentioned the 13th and 14th because my wife was planning a sale (deling with fabrics and crafts) but that may be moved to a later date. Even if we held both together that might generate even more foot traffic - Fabrics and crafts for the ladies, guns and ammo for the men .

Consider May 13-14 also (it looks like it may be the front runner so far).

You can PM me or just post it here. I'll note it and include it when I do the formal declaration of the sale (who, what where, when, etc.) on the forum.

I think the june weekend works for me.

I have two Tippmann paintball guns (pro carbine and an A5, A5 practicall new) with mask, owners manuals, and all the gear to run them I need to get rid of. Plus a small semi auto 22 rifle with collapsing wire stock and removable barrel.

I was thinking again (uh-oh, look out ) about May 13 and 14. I don't know that it will generate more traffic, a lot of the people in for the graduation are here for that, not going to garage sales. Also, many people (locals) don't really want to come towards State College with all the visitors in town. Plus, that's still a bit early and the weather may not be all that good. Myself, I lean towards the end of the month when the weather may cooperate better. And this gives more time for the word to get out and for people to come up with the stuff they want to get rid of.

    Let me know your thoughts.
