    Question Rossi Revolvers Any Good?

I have never been a big revolver buff, but lately I have been thinking about getting one but just for giggles at the range. Not really want to carry one.

Recently, I saw a brand new Rossi .38 for only $328.

So, I would appreciate any opinions on Rossi's quality.

Here's a pic of the one I fondled at the gun shop:

I'm not sure about the current Rossi's made by Taurus, but the ones imported by Interarms have been good for me. I have an older model 68 .38spl and a model 720 .44spl.

My 720 is my main carry piece for the last 2 years. I haven't carried any other main gun since I got it.

I have the one in the Picture, its a Rossi 462, the 461 is the blued version, its an awesome awesome gun, well made and accurate, i shoot full power .357 mags out of it at the range and it doesnt even faze it. Mine shoots Winchester 145 grain Silvertips dead on at 25 yards.

I like the grip angle and pointability better than my Smiths and Colts (dont own any Rugers-yet)

The trigger will be heavy so be prepared to lighten it up a bit, or a lot. If you do get it.
And its a 6 shooter unlike the Smiths and Ruger SP 101.

My mother used to tell me that if I have nothing nice to say I should keep my mouth shut. Therefore, about Rossi, I remain silent.

I had a Rossi snubbie revolver for a while. I just sold it in January. Great shooter. After about 500 rounds down range, the lockup was still tight, and the cylinder gap and timing were perfectly fine.

Save your money. Buy a used Smith & Wesson or Colt. You'll be way ahead of the game.

I have an Interarmsco M720 that is a better defensive weapon if thrown than fired!

If you want to get the feel of wheel guns, I'm sure it will do just fine for that purpose.

    BUT! Be Careful!

They have a way of multiplying.

    I love my wheel guns.
There is something about the rugged reliability of a revolver that warms my heart....or maybe it’s just me.

Just understand that the trigger is nothing compared to an out of the box smith or colt.

I agree, revolvers are extremely addictive. I was always an auto man until I bought my first revolver. Now I have 5 revolvers to my 2 autos. I have plans for lots more revolvers and only one auto (I want a Ruger LC9 for a compact carry piece). If you get the bug it's hard to get rid of.
It's all fun and games, til someone shoots your bobber!

Rossi Revolvers....Got three of them....Carry one every day....Each of them shoot great. All jokes aside, I do have three ( 2.5 inch, 6 inch, and a Cyclopes) and they all shoot well. I have over a thousand rounds thru the 2.5 inch and is still tight. I'd say buy it. Joe
