    Default Sig Sauer 1911-22

I think I want one, $399.99 MSRP wonder what the street price will be

The 1911-22 is built to the same dimensions as the full-sized 1911 pistol. It features a lightweight metal frame and slide, low-profile three-dot sights, working grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety, making the 1911-22 a perfect training tool for 1911 fans as well as a fun plinking pistol for all ages.

Anybody try one of these? I see Cabelas has them for $399.99. I might be interested in buying one for plinking and target shooting. I was waiting for the S&W M&P 22 but they're not coming in until September. Also Cabelas ad says 7 rounds and Sig Sauer says 10 rounds. What's up?

I handled both guns at the Pittsburgh NRA show. I really liked the Sig .22.

I had high hopes for the M&P 22, as my carry gun is a M&P 9c, but they took out the adjustable backstraps and made it feel cheap.

I think I am going to trade in my Sig Mosquito for the Sig 1911 .22. For the price you really can't beat it...

    YMMV

Sig is good, no doubt about it......but it would have to be better than the GSG 1911 Tactical that I've seen. Damn, that is a sweet 1911 .22, and the GSG is like $275.00 at shows.

I read on one of the forums that the GSG 1911 22 and the Sig Sauer 1911 22 are identical guns.Sure seems to be from the pictures I've seen. Both from Germany with two brothers running two different companies. Only difference is Sig is more expensive. Any comments?

    You nailed it manthony.

They Sig is simply an overpriced GSG 1911.

I don't see how a non match grade $400 .22 pistol can ever be considered a good deal, but we all have different needs and wants.
