Default Cabalas or Bushnell Elite 4200

Basically im trying to spend around $200 for a scope. Most likely a 3x9x40

Cabalas has their Alaskan Guide riflescope on sale for 200
and The Bushnell Elite 4200 on sale for 200, but backordered. Also the 3200 for 200

If they were both in stock I would probably get the bushnell, but I dont like the idea of waiting for an undetermined amount of time.
Reading the reviews for the cabalas, almost everyone says it is as good as much more expensive scopes.

This is what cabalas has in my pricerange...

I've never owned any of the cabelas scopes but i can tell you first hand that the bushnell elite line scopes are some of the best value scopes for the money. I have a bunch of 3200 and 4200's and love them. Right now you can find them around really cheap because from what ive heard bushnell is apparently discontinuing the 3200 and 4200 lines and just gonna have an ELITE line but they will still honor all warranty work on the current elites. I would check around somewhere else other then cabelas because ive seen them on clearence at alot of places

Natchez shooters supply still seems to have a reasonable selection of the Elite 3200s on sale for good prices. I'd check them out.

Pros: Name brand, good reputation, good warrantee service from what I've heard (never had to use it, myself), and good optics.

Cons: Not sure. More expensive than some, but likely better optics than less expensive scopes (especially at the sale prices.)

I went with the alaskan guide premium 6-20x40mm.

Reading reviews people compare it to the leupold VK-II and VK-III.
Glass is apprently great, very sturdy, fully multicoated ect...

the 4200 is discontinued so I dont think they will be getting more.

for $310 ($100 off regular price) you cant beat the magnification and the apparent quality. I just hope all those reviews are accurate.
