Re: Surpressor Question
OK time to clear this up... i know someone as been scratching there head, probably to the point of bleeding.
It is in fact not a silencer because there is still a sound when you fire he weapon. It is in fact a suppressor because it suppresses the sound of the weapon firing.USMC 2D ANGLICO 0861 FORWARD OBSERVER OEF 10.2 NOV'10-JUNE'11

Re: Surpressor Question
... and I thought my picture with "I'm with the spelling division" underneath made my intentions obvious. I guess not.

Re: Surpressor Question
Sorry for not spelling suppressor right i knew it look weird. I don't like to call suppressors silencers because they do not silence the sound I blame that on movies for that.

Re: Surpressor Question
Now that spelling and the .223/5.56 topics have been covered...
To answer the question in the OP, No do not try to shoot the .22 through the suppressor designed for a 5.56. Feel free to shoot the .223 ammo though, as you can already see the discussion on why that is okay from the good description that was given.HEY Subscribe to my YouTube Channel! < AND > My blog!

Re: Surpressor Question
I've run my 556 suppressor on a 1:12 twist AR with subsonic 22lr ammo and conversion kit and it works just fine for some occassional shooting. Mostly because I don't want to remove the flash hider to thread on my 22lr can.
556 can is big, you'd probably have to shoot a lot of 22lr to have a negative impact on it.
Read the instructions and warranty info, when in doubt, call the manufacturer.
