Nice deer, did you tell us the story of your buck in a thread? If you did or not refresh our memory with the details.

I believe I told the story. Shot him on the first Saturday???? He ran into some heavy brush and I looked for over an hour and couldn't find him!!!! I was pissed. Did I miss? Naw.....I know I hit him. Couldn't find the bugger.

Went back, sat down, had a bite to eat. Told myself before I move, go back and check the area again. After about an hour or so I walked back to where I had seen him go into the heavy brush and found him!!!! I could see my previous footprints in the leaves, etc and I walked within about 15 yards during my first search.....but I could not see him. Boy, was I glad I went back and checked the area again.

Also, it was a 1.9 mile drag according to my GPS. This year I will be getting one of those folding game carts. Due to the length of drag, some of the hair on the shoulder got worn off, but my taxidermist, Fedor Taxidermy, did a great job!
