Monthly IDPA at Lewistown (Mifflin County)

Monthly IDPA match at Lewistown Pistol Club. Matches are 6 stages and generally around 80 rounds. New shooters are always welcome. Registration will start at 9 AM with the match beginning at 10 AM.

whens the next one? what classes are there? can my son compete, hes 17?

July 10th (the second Sun of July) is the next IDPA at Lewistown. However they also hold a monthly USPSA match, the 4th Sun, (June 26th).

They have the regular IDPA classes; CDP, SSP, SSR, ESP, & ESR.

Yes, your son can compete, he just needs to be a safe shooter.

Competitors under 18 are welcome, with parental supervision. The above dates are correct for our upcoming matches, with a slight clarification, USPSA is the last Sunday of each month. (every once in a while a month sneeks in that has 5 Sundays)

Visit www.idpa.com and www.uspsa.com for details on rules, divisions and equipment for each sport.

For any of our matches, I recommend bringing at least 150 rounds of ammo per competitor. Better to take extra home than to run out and have to sit out the end of the match.

my son is a seasoned shooter and is safe, he has been shooting since he was 5 and has been going to long range tactical shoots (he shoots a rem 700 sps 223 and gets 600 yard cold bore hits on a 9" steel plate) and pistol matches (he uses a springfield xd in 45 gap) with me since he was 15 and shot in 3 boy scout shooting contests untill he got his Eagle badge
