FL sent my finger print card back to me today.
They said the officer that fingerprinted me had to sign the card, he typed his name. They also wanted the name and address of the PD on the back upper right hand corner of the card, even though it was printed on the front. It took them over three weeks to come to this conclusion!!!!
Oh well, I took it back and had it signed by the officer and it's on it's way back to FL. The officer even said, they sent it back for this?
I guess I'll get my FL CCL in 2012 at this rate :-(

Re: FL sent my finger print card back to me today.
It is in the instruction packet that the officer must sign the print card. the Employer section on the FBI Applicant Card for Florida CCL is to be left blank and it does indicate in the packet that the name of the Law Enforcement Agency must be on the back of the card.
Previously FL would allow the PD to put their agency info in the employer part of the applicant print card and non law enforcment would put their name and address on the back of the card. this changed when florida statute started requiring prints to be done by law enforcement agency and not accept any private companies.

Does FL accept electronically fingerprinting?
Seems like it would save everyone a lot of trouble and time if you could get it done electronically .
Once done electronically , it is accessible nationwide."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

I got my CCW from Florida in 13 days. I called and made an appointment at a regional center and did the application, electronic fingerprints, and photo all at the center.

I got mine returned as well the first time. Since I missed one of the check boxes I thought was optional. So I had to check the box then get it re-notarized. The card came back a week later.

Re: FL sent my finger print card back to me today.
Mine got sent back as well. I had to write the name and address of the agency that took the finger prints on the back. I didn't see that anywhere in the instructions.

AZ vs FL
Just curious, what is the difference between the FL and AZ permits? The AZ fee is $60 for the initial permit and $43 dollars for the renewals. The period is 5 Yr for AZ. I thought the FL permit was more expensive and was wondering why people were getting the FL permits.
