So we're at Wawa this afternoon and I'm getting coffee. The guy emptying out the trash can next to me looks up and goes, "Nice piece...what gun is that?"
    "Nineteen eleven."
    "Oh, cool."

Then, on the way out the car, a large, heavily tattooed man that walked in the same time we did was in his truck. He was wearing a loose black T-shirt that read "SECURITY" along the back. He called for my attention.
"Hey man...that's a nice gun. Forty five?"
    "Absolutely." I shook his hand.
"I didn't know that it was a law that you could carry openly like that."
"That's the thing - it's not a law, it's actually the absence of a law. Unlike communist areas, we don't need permission - if there's no law against it, do it to your heart's content."
"That's awesome. I've has my carry license since I was 21 - I'm 44 now - and I had no idea that was an option. Be safe, brother!"

So, we headed into the city and went to FDR park, just off of I-95 and Broad Street. We parked, rode a lap of the park, then went up Broad to seek out lunch. We stopped real quick to watch the Eagles practice for a few moments, and biked most of the way up to McDonald's...

One thing being a member of forums has permanently imprinted on me - I'll always make that reference whenever making a one word post.

Had similar experience in wegmans couple of days ago. While my oldest was browsing cheese section, I kept chatting with curious and very positive kid, who was working in the cheese dept.

    Wow.

I have no problem with your open carry, but I have to question your decision making of leaving bicycles unlocked against a meter at South Philadelphia's Skid Row.

    LOL.

Seriously I am surprised they were not stolen the second you guys entered.

We have used bait bikes that were stolen quickly when left unattended for a couple minutes.

Did the bikes explode when moved without authorization or were people just fined?
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.
