    You alive? We're bored.

Met with a forum member in person this weekend and he mentioned you.

    I'm terrified to ask.

Of course it's been slow - no one buggers me anymore. Maybe it's my location, maybe people don't care, maybe they know there isn't anything they can do about it so they save their breath. Either way, the peace is nice.

I did have an encounter/non-encounter the other day. Waiting for my new bowling balls to get drilled, I was hanging around at the shop. After asking if the glue for the fingertip inserts dries quickly, I was told the ball would be ready for the lane before they even got it out of the workshop, so I announced my plans to go bowling immediately after I paid. "Well, of course, you kind of have to. Otherwise, it'd be like buying a new gun and not going to the range right afterward." I got a kick out of that.

If you're bored, take a road trip to Pittsburgh. You'd find some action there I bet.

I had a semi-fun encounter last weekend. I stopped in at jhaydeno's farm for a visit (and a PAFOA hat) and headed over to my shootin' club for some range time to try out my son's new revolver before he does...and some much-needed practice.

There's NEVER anyone at this place, I almost always have the whole place to myself. Well, the lot was PACKED. Turns out, a Hispanic (but English-speaking) family, and some whities too, were using the building for a kid's birthday party. Foil ballons everywhere, it was more like a parking lot party.

Well, I'm a member here and I'm here to shoot...so it's your fault if the party you decided to hold AT A GUN RANGE gets loud. There was someone else in the rifle range too.

Turns out, I became the entertainment for the kids at the party. A group of 3 girls probably about age 5-6 climbed up on large rock by the building, completely at a safe distance and behind me so they were fine...and not only watched me shoot 4 different guns but were cheering me on. It was funny and cute, not in a Joe Biden way.

"MOM - HE'S SHOOTING THE BULLSEYE!"
"HE HAS A GUN LIKE A COWBOY!"
"HE HAS ANOTHER GUN IN HIS POCKET!"

Some of the Dads were watching with a smile and the Moms sat on a truck tailgate too. Made sure I was super nice to the kids on the way out. I thought it was a chance to set a good example that gun owners ARE responsible and we're nothing to be afraid of ...made sure I was on my best behavior safety-wise to show them shooting is fun when you do it right.

I have my unrestricted NY state CC Pistol License.. yesterday I rode my motorcycle into NY to pick up some groceries.. realized once I got to the store and got off my bike that my OWB holster had come out from under my motorcycle jacket and I was OC .. !! .. GOD FORBID.. luckily nobody lost their minds and called the law as that would have turned out super ugly and expensive.. luckier I was riding right behind a local NY LEO in his SUV for about 1 mile.. Have decided that holster / Jacket combo will not work for future trips into the peoples republic
