Where's the grenade launcher and thingy that goes up?
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

Re: Viper's OC log
The weather is finally getting nicer, so it's time to stretch out my legs and air out the holsters.
The last several weeks have turned up multiple open carry encounters, nearly all of which have been positive. An older gentleman in line at Wegman's smiled and remarked on how more people should carry openly. On three separate occasions, someone asked me if they need a special permit to carry openly. A guy in the passenger seat of a moving van down on Walnut Street, deep in the heart of Center City, remarking out his window, "Here's a guy who's letting everyone know - 'Do not fuck with me.' God, I fuckin' love America!"
I openly carried my two-tone Glock during the entire yard sale this past weekend, and every comment or conversation was either overwhelmingly positive or flatly neutral. No less than three men - and two women - unconcealed their holstered firearms to show me what they were packin' heat, too.
We stopped at ToysR'Us in Whitehall to see if they had any particularly good GOOB sales, and I didn't care enough to conceal for a failing company's "policy," if they in fact have one. Which I don't know if they do. After being in the store with the family for about 20 minutes, a lady with her son - who had just pointed out to her that I had a gun - told the boy that she wasn't "a fan of guns." This was said as a matter of fact, and not in that, "I want you to hear me" tone - she was just informing her son that she didn't care. A few minutes later, I noticed what appeared to be a slightly animated conversation between another customer and a group of three employees. Immediately after this customer left the store, one of said employees came over and smiled.
"You, uh...I don't care, myself, but you have a gun, right?"
"Yes I do." I smiled back.
"Okay. Normally I wouldn't say anything but...we have a policy," she said.
"It's okay, we'll be leaving in a few minutes."
"Cool, cool. You probably have your license. Like I said, I don't care. I just had to say something."
She didn't ask me to leave, but I guess I now know that they have a policy. Shame, the store will be going poof, soon.
Oh, and for anyone reading who doesn't already know - this is old news to many - all the restaurants owned by the Darden company - Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze, and the place we went this past weekend, Longhorn Steakhouse - are pro-2A. Go give them some of your money this week.Junior

The tri-color, Michael Cudlitz autographed 1911 is locked away until it can get a fresh coat of clear.
