..... and I went on my way after drinking my beer and rode further up this desolate area up to an area where they're doing some sort of construction along the river. Then I fell on my bike a few times because the rocks they put down as a sublayer for the concrete or asphault I assume they'll eventually be pouring don't provide very good traction.

Is it possible the beer had anything to do with this ?

In PA (and a lot of other places), you can get a DUI if you ride a bicycle w/ a BAC of more than 0.08... In PA a bicycle is considered a vehicle under the law. Just something to think about

I think I'd be more likely to get cited for trespassing or something than a DUI where I was.

PrettyInPink and I hit up BJ's for a few things this afternoon. While shopping, one of the sales guys stopped us and asked us if we were interested in remodeling our home. We rent, so it was a short-lived conversation. However, someone else he was talking to saw my pistol and asked, "Oooh, is that a Kimber?"
"Nooo...too rich for my blood. Taurus."
"Ah. Have any trouble with the magazines?"
"Yeah, in fact...had to replace them after a year because the top split."
"What are you running now, Wilson Combats?"
"Yes - tried the Chip McCormick's but they didn't lock the slide back on the last round, so I returned them."
"I used to work at Classic Pistol over in Southampton - had a number of guys complain about the crappy Phillipino stamped steel mags failing. Cheap crap."

We chatted a little while afterwards and he was a really nice guy. A few minutes later I was pushing the cart along an aisle and a woman was walking parallel to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her looking me over. Her face was filled with utter disgust, and she muttered, "really?" as she judgmentally stared at my pistol, then walked away.

Took the little one for pizza before soccer practice. The guy running the place said, "What kind of gun is that?" before telling me about where he comes from, everyone has the "curved magazines" - he's from Guatemala and they carry rifles all the time, apparently.
