Default I didn't know Gander's prices were so bad!

This morning, I was at Gander Mountain in Greensburg shopping for a BB gun for my son. I am shooting some .223 and .30-30 on Saturday, so I thought I would pick up an extra box of each. Remington Core Lokt 150 Gr .30-30 cartridges were going for $18.99 per box of 20. Remington UMC .223 55gr MC were going for $32.99 per box of 50.

Because I did not really need ammo, I decided not to buy.

My travels took me to Dicks. the wife wants an elliptical machine. Don't ask what that is all about. Damn thing costs as much as a good AR. Anyhow, I walk through their ammo and see the same boxes of .30-30 and .223 for $12.99 and $23.99. I didn't even think that those prices were that great, but I bought them anyway.

Now I usually buy all my ammo online, but for you guys that shop the stores, watch those prices at Gander Mountain.

    And the Guns....a $1400 M1A for $1800. Enough said.

Yeah, the Gbg Gander Mtn. has terrible prices. Remington .223 55gr FMJs are 7.90 or so/box of 20 at Wally world in Latrobe, as a comparison. Cost me $40 and some change, tax included, for 5 boxes, I'd have to look at my slip for the actual price per box

Ours are really bad. They had 7.62x39 for 6.99 a box (wolf). I mean ya, AIM bumped their price up $10 a case, but going from 4.99 to 6.99 is insane.

I've avoided blander mountain for years. Hate the prices and the gunshop commandos.

Walmart will beat their ammo prices any day of the week. I while back, maybe 10 months, one of the clerks told me they wanted to go up scale, and just sell the expensive ammo. But its not just the top shelf that they have high priced, its all of it.
