It took six days (6) for my Florida permit. From the time I mailed it till I got it in the mail, SIX (6) Days. Now my Resident Arizona permit, well, it's been six weeks and still waiting.

    opps....wrong forum.

I personally went to the north Hampton county court house and dropped off the paper work.

I do recall when I applied for my FL CCW I received it within a week.
This was about 6 years ago.

For the record, I'm on approximately the 49th day since I sent in my app for a P.A. carry permit. Still nothing.

They cashed the check on 3-29-13. I got approved 05-23-13. Still waiting for the card in the mail. Fingers crossed.
PA-Bucks 30 mins to find, dl fill in form. 30 min to Sheriff's office. 30 min wait in office. Left with one CCP in hand. How is that better than FLA? Why was the State Senator in such a huff about PA residents having a FL permit?

It's not about safety or crime, it's about control. They can't stop PA residents from getting FL permits but they can make them get a PA permit if they want to carry in PA. Gives them more control over which PA residents can carry.

I sent my FL permit info in on 3/29/13. I just got my permit today (6/10/13).
About 70 days total including snail-mail both ways.

It is as well as several other states now. Our new AG has taken away the reciprocity with non-resident permits. This, i'm pretty sure, was to make the Philadelphia folks suffer more.....like we need more.

If you want to carry in PA, get a PA permit. Having a FL or VA or other state does help when traveling though, as the PA permit is only recognized with WV on states that border PA.

They have local licensing centers that the Dept of Agriculture has for renewals for residents. You walk in and they take your application over the counter and notarize it, take your photo and your renewal is to you in a week.
