I think Im going to go the AZ route instead of FL now.

That's what I would do. This friday will be six weeks since I sent for my FL license. Not to mention they sent my finger print card back because the officer that did it typed his name instead of signing it. With AZ, you can be printed anywhere and you don't need the application notarized.
I was thinking of also getting the AZ license, but I know that no sooner will I put the application in the mail my FL license will show up.

Mailed out AZ on April 18. Got it back today, May 2 = 14 days

and that was through Good Friday and Easter, too!

Just sent them a message requesting an application, time to expand my card collection! Waiting on Utah permit to process at the moment.

Holy hell are those guys fast, I got the application in the mail on Saturday! Now I just need to stop being lazy and go get fingerprints done.

You get your DE while your there, you'll have one up on all of us here...

I'm seriously considering it, if for nothing else other than to just say I have it. I just looked on handgunlaw.us and it appears that Delaware wouldn't get me anything that the Utah/Az permits don't. Fail.. Oh well, another one to add to the card collection I guess..

Got my AZ CWP in the mail yesterday -- eight days after I popped the application in the mail. Thanks to all the tips in this thread -- and extra kudos to Joey Bones for the tip on Wulu Photo in Center City for the fingerprinting service -- my local PD does fingerprinting, but only one day a week at a time that would require me taking a day off from work, so it was good to know there's an option close to where I work in Philly.

Yeah, my first thought on getting fingerprinted by some dude named Doe in a beat-up truck parked on the side of the road was "Oh yeah, THIS looks legit," but he's got the credentials and does a good job. He actually had a small waiting line outside the truck when I got there.

Good to meet another local guy - and thanks again for the tip!
