Metro Arms American Classic II
I took a chance on one of these, after having a hard time finding anything negative about them. Apparently, Metro Arms makes the Firestorm and American Classic II, while Armscor produces (or produced) the RIA, Citadel and Charles Daly. Please correct me if I've got my facts screwed up. In any case, these 1911s from the Philippines, all seems to be a solid value. We'll see over time. $469 as you see it:

Nice gun,i had a RIA tac. that was a fine piece, the difference is yours has serrations on the front of the slide as well as the rear and in my opinion your factory grips are much nicer.
Go over to-m1911.org-and check out the section on Metro Arms.Government 99 and 44/100 % pure bullshit.

Re: Metro Arms American Classic II
here is my AC ll. i picked it up on 3-11-2011. i got 700rds through it and is still nice and tight! IMHO, you cant go wrong with these. lifetime warranty as well. i did send my ACT mag back because the first two rounds would not feed. they sent me a new one in a week. customer service is EXCELLENT. and the target is when i took it to the range the first day i had it. target was at 25'. straight shooter right out of the box.
and i believe that Charles Daily is no longer manufactured by ARMSCOR. i think they are their own company now.

Will do. Thanks! Actually, the one factory grip (right side) is flawed. The wood's got some dark blotches in it, which may either be naturally occurring, or it's a result of heat damage when being cut. The visible side looks as if something spilled on it. Not a huge deal, as I'll be replacing the grips anyway.

Re: Metro Arms American Classic II
Beautiful! Did you do that yourself?
I ran my first (approx) 200 rounds through it today, and found:
2 failures to eject. One was shooting one-handed, and it looked like a typical limp-wristed stovepipe. The other was for reasons unknown, although I was shooting Remington UMC bulk ammo through it, which hasn't always been good to me. I also had a few failures to feed the first round. I believe they all occurred with a Wilson Combat mag, and with Federal 45 Auto Hydra-ShokŪ JHP rounds. I picked up a box of Corbon Powerball, as I've always felt better about feeding these in a 1911 (as defensive ammo). Accuracy and trigger were fine, and a few more hundred rounds may iron things out. Still, this (not flawless out of the box) is why I carry a Glock. It'll be a fine range, and perhaps project gun though.

Re: Metro Arms American Classic II
I've got a metro arms Firestorm DLX. basically the same gun but with the firestorm name. They discontinued the Firestorms because people kept confusing them for the older firestorms made by LLama. mines be a great gun. I've added a few things like a checkered mainspring housing with magwell and a full length guide rod. I also replaced the mag catch because the factory one was out of spec and let the mag hang a little low for me.

it is metro arms hard chrome finish. i paid a lil more for it, but thats what i wanted. i had a parkerized RIA, and decided i wanted a 1911 in either SS or hard chrome. i tried to do some research on metro arms and didnt find much. i did find an AC ll gun review. copy and paste this on google:

read the review. it should be the first one from 4-27-2010. tell me what you think. i found no other info of this review.

That hard chrome finish is outstanding. Good move going for it! Other than a few YouTube reviews, I found this:

Re: Metro Arms American Classic II
the best of luck to you Marks. i hope that you AC ll will treat you as good as mine has so far. granted, i only have about 700rds through her (600rds mixed ball ammo, and 100 rds of remm. golden sabre) in her first month of service, but i'm gonna do my best to try to wear her out! lol! and it is my carry gun, hence useing 100rds golden sabres. good luck, and nice purchase as well.
may the 1911 last another 100 years!
