Default Can I still legally carry here?

So theres this gas station with a convience store and a post office inside. My question is can I carry in that building? There are no signs restricting it but as I know carrying in a post office is illegal. The thing thats got me thinking is it is also a convience store/gas station. The post office is in the very back and its only a small counter inside the store. So can I carry there or not?

    Maybe..

An argument can be made that you could carry in the portion that is dedicated to the gas station, but definitely NOT in the portion dedicated to the post office. Any portion of the parking lot that is leased to the post office for postal customers would be off-limits too.

Because the post office leases the shop, not the entire mall, you should be able to carry in the mall without violating federal law. Of course the mall may have its own firearms policy (most malls do).

IANAL and usual disclaimers, of course.

You could always ask the local police. I'm sure if they don't know, they'll make something up (that suits them).
