Default Pics from this weekends ice storm.

We got a pretty good amount of Ice on Sunday and had a bunch of trees fall. I lost power at 4AM Sunday morning and just got it turned back on at 3:15pm today.

Thick ice in the morning on the windshield

This tree woke me up when it fell at 4AM. It took out the power line on the right and was leaning on the phone and cable lines on the left.

All the other roads were blocked so i had to drive under it.

    other pics from the area.

the other end of my road.

    These roads are still closed!

It was sunny in the afternoon so i took a quick video.

I feel for the people who still dont have the power turned back on yet.

Thats a lot of damage. Was there really high winds, or just straight ice?

Hope you didn't get anything damaged from the storm.

Wow, those are some pretty nasty pics, no wonder cleanup is taking so long.

These pics were Sunday from the ice damage only. Sunday night it got windy and caused even more trees to fall and take out more lines. I could hear them falling during the evening and see the flashing of power lines out in the surrounding area.

PPL and its contractors had their hands full and did a good job. I saw them out working Sunday night and every night since. They are out there right now still working.

Very cool. Thanks for posting. You should put some tags on your YouTube video so people know more about it, where, date, etc.

It was so bad in Susquehanna and Scranton that WNEP-TV lost an 800 foot tower. And took all the local stations off the air. WYOU CBS just came back on Tuesday

Pretty bad out your way. Glad your okay and that all you lost was electricity.
Guess I shouldn't be complaining about the 2 1/2 feet of snow we got up this way.
    Thanks for sharing the pictures.
