So I've had my LTCF for a week now, and carry everywhere I go. My buddy says to me the other day, "Don't take it to work with you." I asked why not, and he say's " you need an ACT 235 to carry at work." I almost hit the ground laughing when he said this. I said you only need an ACT 235 if your job requires you to be armed in the scope of your job. He was amazed that you can carry at work, and he's had his license for about 2 years.

This is true.

I remember when I worked night shift at a hotel.

I armed myself only because the boss didnt say anything about it and there was no company policy forbidding it.

It was a very nice hotel, but around 3 or 4 in teh morning, I sometimes got a few crazies in there. And since I was the only employee there over night, you god damn right I was going to be armed.

Yup, I carry all the time while I'm working at the bar I'm a bouncer at. We already had guys who were ejected threaten to come back with guns and wait for us in the parking lot.

I plan to go the Act 235 route in the future so I can officially carry for the purpose of employment, but for now I only carry for my protection.

On a side note, that's one of my top peeves - people who think they know the law, or like to give their opinion of the law and when you try and educate them, they don't want to hear it.
