Who accepts guns from online dealers?
I was planning on going to some gun shows to buy a new rifle (.243 Bolt Action) and maybe handgun (Bersa 380), but I have been reading nothing but how much of a ripoff all shows are now.
So I was hoping to buy from budsgunshop.com or some other online dealer and have transfered to a FFL holder.
I didnt see Ace sporting goods on anyones list, so I assume they dont do that.
Any other trustworthy/inexpensive dealers localy? (I live in cannonsburg btw)

Re: Who accepts guns from online dealers?
You should try Pfrogner's in the small town of Coal Center. There are great people to deal with.
Stop in and buy your firearm from Pfrogners' you'll be glad you did.

gunbroker.com has a listing off FFL dealers. It lists a whole lot of them, you can search by zip code and get a return of most that will be in your area.

Most FFLs will accept the firearm and do the transfer for you regardless of whether or not they're listed on the site. Some might have a procedure they want you to follow. Best bet is to call a few local dealers and ask. Prices will vary from $20-40 so it pays to make a few calls first.

I would much rather buy from a shop, but the prices are higher than online. If a shop would match or come close to an online price id buy from them, less hassel imo.
Im hoping the gun show will have some deals, not holding my breath though

Re: Who accepts guns from online dealers?
After you pay the online credit card charge of 3%, then pay for shipping, then pay for transfer, you might save 20$, or most likely save nothing, then you went through a much bigger hassle(not to mention waiting for an online seller to actually ship the item, waiting while the item is in transit, then waiting for a call from your gun shop saying it's there) than going and buying it at your shop.
Do the math, and figure out for yourself if it's worth the "savings", and consider my above statement... 9 out of 10 times it isn't. I would rather spend an extra couple bucks and support my local gun shop, and help keep them in business, than some online gun dealer.

Check with Gun Runner in Canonsburg. He does reasonable transfers and sells gun primarily by orders only at a decent price.

Re: Who accepts guns from online dealers?
Thank you for clarifying. I meant it as a reference point. They, in most cases list the transfer fee there as well. But, yeah, still call, confirm and set up any transactions prior to shipping.
I tend to stick to local shops myself. When I do use things like gunbroker I only bid on items from local dealers. Mainly because a lot of the estate auction items they buy never hit the shelf in the store. So it helps to keep an eye on their auctions

Honestly I have purchase all my firearms in the last 3yrs from online dealers and gunbroker.com.. I just think the prices I've come across at my local dealers in Miami have been a bit ridiculous!!!! Hopeing to find better dealers and prices in PGH area once I get settled in..
