Default My $65 West German Derringer --> Falke Model 43

Went to a local shop today in hopes of finding some 7.62x25 ammo and saw this little beauty sitting in top of the case. Badly oxidized with a thin layer of white haze covering it. Asked to see the tag and was surprised to see $100. Well, after some haggling and trading a Glock 36 mag I had no use for I walked out paying $65 OTD.

Needless to say, I sped home and was halfway to the dremel and polish before the door was closed behind me.

Clearly stamped: "WEST GERMANY" "FALKE 43"

After about 3 hours of polishing I had her looking like a million bucks. Couldnt be happier with the outcome.

So does anyone know anything about these little derringers? I couldnt find a thing on-line.

    What do you guys think?

Take off the grips and see if there is a name inside. Prior to 1968 a lot of lower priced guns were imported from West Germany from a few manufacturers but under a lot of US importer names. I have a 60's single action 22 that probably is worth $75 and I was able to determine the manufacturer by taking off my grips.

    Nice find by the way...

Turns out one side of the firing block is worn down. Most likely due to dry firing. I wonder if a modern cobra or d22 part would work

I'll be stopping in the shop to either get my money back or get a part Tomorrow.

Why return when you can use this opportunity to make a new firing bloc, which makes the gun even cooler later in life because now it has a personalized story past "I bolted this on".

Took off the grips and discovered no new markings. There are two ensignia stamps on the top of the barrels though. Look to be little crowns with the letter "N" in them.

I totally agree on making a new block, problem is that I have no idea the dimensions of an intact block. Even worse, when test firing I even had one instance when the gun fired both rounds at once. Marked by way more recoil than expected lol.

Multiple rounds with one trigger pull? Uh oh, doesn't that fall under the definition of a "machine gun"?
