new pistol owner - Rem-lube dri lube
Purchased FNX 40, seemed like tons of lube on it for shipping/antirust ect. Took slide apart, cleaned relubed with the remington Dri lube. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? I put it on (yes I know its a dri lube) and the stuff seems to dissapear when it dries.
Does it work good?
How often should you relube with it?

Re: new pistol owner - Rem-lube dri lube
I used it years ago on auto pistols, never had any problems with it. It is a teflon based powder. I wiped the guns clean after shooting to remove powder and dirt, cleaned as usual, and made sure the surfaces were dry, then sprayed lightly with the Dri Lube. Seemed to work fine.
I stopped using it because no one locally carried it.

i personally was not impressed with it. i use Tetra Gun Grease on sliding parts and Rem gun oil on other parts.
The oil VERY sparingly.

I've been using it for years, nothing negative to say about it. I find it especially good for my carry pistols. use it on any place that may collect dirt i.e. slide, guide, barrel etc. I still use gun oil on the real internal stuff.

I would just use a regular oil and dont be afraid to make it a little wet. Keep the striker channel clear and you are good.
I have seen rifle failures associated with dry lubes and my .22 autoloader has had issues as well, but that was a long time ago.Jeff Cooper was a huge supporter of gun games, when he was winning them at least...
