Default Interest in an empty hand seminar?

My BJJ/MMA/Muay Thai instructor mentioned getting a one day self defence/combatives class together some time later in May.

I just wanted to help him gauge interest of those who might come.

Cost is looking to be around $60 for about 4 hours of instruction (which is just our mat fee per hour x 4)

Here's the topics he wanted to cover:

-The modern misconception of Mixed Martial Arts
-Historical context of Mixed Martial Arts as a self-defense system
    -Street-safe Jiu-Jitsu principles
    -Free movement phase
    -The clinch phase
    -Striking from the clinch
    -Striking and disengaging
-Countering empty handed holds and attacks
    -Standing submissions
    -Street-safe takedowns
    -Impact control
    -Top control principles
-Efficient and effective chokes/joint locks from the top and bottom positions
    -Escaping the bottom position
    -Disengaging
This would be in the pittsburgh area - specifically east of the city in the Delmont area. Not too far from where the group shoots are.

So if you're interested in the above topics or just want a chance to punch me in the face. LMK, we're just trying to get a feel for attendance and if we'd want this to get split across two days rather than one.

If this is still available I would be interested in it. Always looking to train with new people. I'll ask the people I train with if they would be interested.

This didn't happen, however we can make it happen - there just wasn't enough interest.

You're always welcome to come out and try a day of classes though, sunday's the best day to come since we have a Judo class.

Our main instructor will be in italy for a few weeks but he's got some other instructors etc lined up. We'll likely be reviewing basics the next few weeks.

Let me know if you try to put something together again. I didn't even see this thread the first time around.

EIther way regardless of it's it's held as a seminar, I can get this set up as a private type class with my instructor. I'd probably need at least 5 guys other than myself (I'll probably end up being the demonstration dummy) to get it going.

He wont be back for 3 weeks (just left yesterday) so I won't know anything concrete for some time.

We can cover the stuff I previously posted, or come up with a "private lesson" type format with him.
