    Default Holster help needed

Guys I'm looking to pick up a leather OWB holster for my G23. I currently use a Blackhawk Serpa but I want to get away from the button retention. I would like to stay around $75 and would also like to have it mount to my belt(no paddles), I also don't want a thumb break.
If you have a good recommendation that doesn't fit the bill perfectly it's all good I'm open to hear your opinions on them.
    Leather
    No paddles or thumb breaks
    around $75
    Thanks guys.

Simply Rugged "Cuda" holster. They cost about 60 bucks and are the best holsters I have seen.

I usually stay away from Galco, but in straight forward leather owb holsters they can be a good option, especially because the holsters are always in stock, especially for Glocks. I really liked the Hi Ride Silhouette. Kept the gun up high and nice and tight to your body.

The Mitch Rosen Express line is also something to check out. I had an Upper Limit I really liked.

DeSantis? Some of their older stuff was decent, but most of what they put out these days is on the order of highly polished cardboard.

Most people don't want to spend good money on a decent holster and belt, but the carry equation is out of balance without them factored in as well.

Galco and Bianchi are okay for "off the rack." Look at Kramer, old Alessi made by Lou himself if you can find it, Ken Null, Tucker, Sparks, if, again, you can find it or don't mind the six-month wait, or even something from FIST, which is useful if hardly spectacular. Del Fatti is nosebleed-producing stuff, and I wouldn't use it for everyday, but if you hit the lottery, go crazy.

They have a long wait, I think 8 to 10 weeks, but they make a great quality holster. I have essentially the same holster but with the thumb break, they call it sky high, and I love it.

It does run about $15 more then you wanted to spend though.

You don't say whether you're looking for another retention holster. If not, the Speed Scabbard is a good choice. Otherwise, take a look at the Safariland ALS (about $60) -- the release is on the "thumb" side. Mine came with both paddle and belt attachments.

You might look at the offerings from Mitch Rosen:

(The Express 5JR President is my favorite. I have 3.)

    or

    Ryan Grizzle:
    http://www.rgrizzleleather.com/

Both will have a backlog, but the wait is worth it. The quality of the leather & the worksmanship just can't be found on an off-the-shelf holster.

If you don't want to wait too long, a few friends of mine have had very good experiences with Lobo Gun Leather. His website says a 4 week turnaround time, but theirs came through in 3 weeks.
