    I sold my mint M1 Carbine 10years ago to pay for the new tires I needed. I still kick my ass to this day..

    You can use the serial number, there are sites that have charts like serial number xxxxxx-xxxxxx were manufactured during xxxx year. try google garand serial number/manufacture date.
