Made my first visit and purchase at Tanner's yesterday. I have to say I really enjoyed the experience. The place was absolutely slammed with customers yesterday. Despite this, the sales guys were very good about checking in with everyone while they waited and acknowledge their presence. Once it was my turn, I worked with Stan, who helped me.

As an aside it was a nice balanced sales experience. I've been to some shops where it doesn't seem like the sale people want to interact or show merchandise or others where you are hounded non-stop. The nice middle ground is an initial, "Can I help you with anything?" and take the queue from me. Tanner's did this well, attentive but not overbearing.

The prices are on par with some of the best prices I found online but with the added advantage of not having to wait. Very happy with the transaction and experience and will be back.

Does tanners have much o a used section? I'm in the market for a higher end shotgun but I don't want to buy new. I also don't want to take the trip out there if there isn't much of a used section? Can anybody answer that for me thanks

They do have a pretty decent used selection, but they are also pretty high volume customer wise. I've seen guns get sold within 5 minutes of being placed in the used case.

My advise would be to give them a call if you're looking for a particular model or even just to ask what they have.
They won't mind spending a few minutes on the phone telling you what they have. If during the call something interests you, they'd likely have no problem putting it aside so it doesn't get sold before you make it into the shop.

We have a few different used Benelli shotguns on the used rack and there are also some Browning's. Best thing is to call and we can let you know exactly what we have on the wall. Used stock does turn fast so we are always getting more new used guns in everyday. We can do a same day hold so if there is something that interests you we can hold it until the end of that day.

Just went to Tanner's today for the first time in many years with my Gf. She got her first handgun, a used ruger lcp for a
Really good price and I ended up trading in a bolt action rifle for a lower, mags, grip and ammo, very fair trade in price. All the staff I dealt with was super helpful and spent the time to walk me through what I would need for my first build( Chris) I wish I would have got the other guys names because service was top notch and prices where great. I already have friends going up to buy stuff this week. They100% will get my business again. Great selection and customer service, many gun shops could learn a lot from this place.
