I stopped by tanners and came in with my great Dane on Monday, were any forum members there? Minus the ones that work there?

Picked up a Colt/Double Star rifle length Frankensteiner after work last week. $699 - Also fondled a S&W I bolt tagged @ $309 - but I'm currently on the "one gun a month" plan with my wife; who I have since coincidentally nicknamed "miss new jersey"

Fabulous price and selection, as always.

I have been to Tanner's 4 times and every single time I walked out with a gun even if I did not intend to buy one on that trip. They have a very friendly and helpful staff and the best prices around.

Bought 3 guns from them (so far). Ray helped me get a new gun that wasn't feeding properly turned around with a replacement in a week from marlin!
    Great guys!

Love Tanners. I never seen it as packed as it was tonight. I hope all the guys get a chance to breathe and get a cold beer.

Was Tanners open today? I tried calling most all day and mostly got the busy signal.

Was hoping to panic purchase a long gun or two if they by some miracle had them in stock...

Yes, they are open, but literally don't have time to answer the phone.

I have been in there every night this week at 3:30 PM before work rush lets out - and you still can't get served it's so packed. Tonight, the pickins looked pretty sparse. Took off of work the rest of the year - I'm going on a road trip with credit cards that will probably melt from excessive use at gun shops as I tour and buy as many as I can get my dirty paws on. It's going to be like that show with the two antique dudes that drive around the country buying stuff It's only money - can't go to your grave with it. The way I look at it - by the time they impose the ban - most Americans will already be armed to the teeth.

I do have some advice - and this is something I've been doing to help the local shops and to help other people. Don't sit there diddle-daddling - scan what you want to see while you're waiting, then have him/her walk you down the isle and efficiently test out everything you're going to be interested in. It helps everyone out right now. I did this at Target World yesterday - waited a half hour, then boom...boom...boom (no pun intended) I quickly checked out about 12 guns and only spent like 8 minutes doing it, then shook his hand and said - "I'll let you take care of someone else now - thanks for your time".
