Free 100yd rifle range near Philly?

There was one outside of reading but I read it closed down. What else?

Not that much close to Philly. I guess Lehigh or Berks countiies would be the closest. Or if you wanna take a ride to the Upper Bucks area, I could bring you to one of the ranges I'm a memeber at.

Another option is Wicen's. While not free, you don't have to get a year membership; you can pay a la carte for single visits.

Actually, if you shoot only a few times a year, it's probably cheaper than joining a range.

this looks good. i check the site and saw they did have 100 yard rifle matches. is 100 yard lane open to everyone all day? is the range longer than 100 yards?

I hear you. But Wicen's charges $15 per day (!!!!) + $7 one time rifle "qualification". You may spend more on gas, driving to the nearest PGC range.

The range on State Game Lands #43 in Elverson (Northern chesco, on the Berks county border) is about the closest free range to Philly. It's a few miles from the Route 100 exit on the turnpike.

Best time to go is weekdays. It gets full on the weekend. Note that there is a three-round limit on the state ranges. WCO's do patrol the ranges and will write you up if they catch you loading more than 3 rounds into your gun.

guest fee is 5.00 for holmesburg, I can usually go after 5 on weekdays after 4 on sat and after 2 on sundays with notice, let me know. I only ask you let me put a few rds down range with your guns.
