    Default 30rd Magazine issue

Picked up a 30rd D&H magazine last night.

The ends of the follower are catching on the short walls of the magazine and causing the follower to tip. Dealer told me it's because the magazines are new, but my Pmags and EMA mags never did this when they were new. I opened the mag and shaved the sides of the green follower and that helped some, just wondering if I should steer clear of D&H?

Do D&H magazines have a break in period?

Thumbs up Re: 30rd Magazine issue

Do you have a green follower? There's your problem.

Order some three-packs of Magpul followers, and swap 'em out - they'll work like a charm.

Yeah, green follower. Looks like chinsey brittle plastic.

Whats the word on the Brownells $10 mags? Are they good to go?

I've heard nothing but good things about Brownells, but for less than $6, you can fix THREE of your otherwise excellent D&H mags.

I'd bought one of the D&H magazines when I tried out the follower in the store and realized I might not want to buy more than that. I paid $14.99 for that one mag. For $10 each, I can order 3 from Brownells and pay the $15 for S/H and still come out ahead I think....

Replace green followers with Magpuls or just buy them that way in the first place. I have seen them available for 89.99 for 10 mags with magpul followers. Can't really beat that for this type of magazine.

AIM Surplus has D&H mags with Magpul followers on sale, I think it's $10 each or $9/mag if you order more than 10. I guess they all have the olive drab followers.

I've run a few with the older orange/red and yellow Magpul followers. They work. The green followers will jam if you push down at the front, but I used the magazines with them for a while, and they still worked. I just like the added piece of mind with the Magpul followers. The upper I was using them with had M4 feedramps, I don't know if that matters.

make sure you factor in the $479.85 shipping and "small order handling" fees that midway will charge you. check AIMsurplus.com as they offer FREE shipping on 99% of their items and no ridiculous handling charges.
The Beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Didn't mean to "endorse" Midway (I've never had any dealings with them, actually), btw - I just typed in "Magpul follower," and they were the first example that popped up.

    Places I WILL endorse (for Magpul followers, and anything else!), as I've had great dealings with them, are;

    - AIM Surplus
    - G&R Tactical
    - DSG Arms

    Shop these with confidence!
