Can someone call the police on them when they view an illegal transfer in progress? THAT would teach them how the laws work...

I'd like to set a table up across the street with a large sign offering $50 for all working long guns. I'll even buy working H&R and NEF singles for $50 a gun.

I think Marc said it best... F*CKTARDS!!!

Try it yourself advertise the same thing and double the gift certificates cost and see what would happen to you, yet some people are above the law for a allegedly “good cause”, must have missed that exemption in the law.

Got to love this quote “NO QUESTIONS ASKED”, the hall mark comment of possible illegal activity.

Keep this article in light of all the anti-gun laws that are being proposed.
My thoughts exactly. Transfer of all the rifles/shotguns would be fine, but how is this legal at all with the handguns. It is truly a messed up world that we live in...

What if someone had a real set of u-know-whats and went down there, witnessed a handgun transfer and claim citizen's arrest and alerted the police?

    That would be interesting.

I do not have a set of those yet; but some day my kids will be independant.

Buyback Nets 100+ Guns In Allegheny County

    http://kdka.com/local/gun.buyback.Ho....2.611899.html

HOMESTEAD (AP) ― An Allegheny County gun buyback program has taken more than 100 guns off the street.

Participants who turned in a handgun to Goods for Guns on Saturday received a $50 gift certificate to a supermarket; rifles or shotguns were worth $25 certificates.

The group says it focuses on removing guns from homes so children can't get them, but the group believes it also has an impact on crime.

Gunlocks and gun-safety education were also offered.

The program started in 1994 and has collected about 10,000 guns.

It sure does see all the handguns that were ILLEGALLY transferred - crimes that will go un prosecuted for a so called “good cause” hey IF they don’t like the law change it, make it an exemption for these currently ILLEGAL programs. Can the rest of US break law we don’t like for our good cause? Don’t think so…… sure wish I could break laws with no questions asked

How many of these guns are resold (at a much high value) for extra money to pay for this program or valuable firearms that just disappear after the event with no questions asked?

Lots of you made post about buying these guns from people for more cash, try it next year and see how fast you get threaten with arrest, for break the same laws that they can get away with breaking

Look at this article on WTAE:
    http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/...13/detail.html

HOMESTEAD, Pa. -- More than 100 guns are in safe hands after organizers staged a gun buyback program in Homestead.

The organization Goods for Guns handed out Giant Eagle gift cards for every gun brought to the event -- $25 for rifles and $50 for handguns.

Organizers said they were part of one of the longest lasting and most successful programs in the country.

They said their primary goal is keeping children safe.

"Our focus is the accidents that occur in the homes, and usually amongst children when guns are left unsecured in the home and that's our main focus although we do have an impact on guns used in crime," said Goods for Guns volunteer Phillip Dacey.

Goods for Guns also collected unwanted firearms in downtown Pittsburgh.

For those who want to keep their guns in their homes, gunlocks and gun-safety education was also offered.
