Suggestion.
New to the site. Even though I have been a firearm owner/operator since I was young. Firearms have always been in my family.
Reading a lot of threads posted by others. Topics that are new to me. I am having trouble with all the abbreviations being used. Most the time I can figure them out. The easy ones that is. I feel like such a newbie jacking someones thread to keep asking what the abbreviations mean. Thought it would be great "suggestion" to have a sticky of the commonly used abbreviations. Not just for me, but maybe other newbies also. Sorry for being such a newbieLast edited by coble; March 16th, 2011 at 06:10 PM. Reason: changed "noob" to "newbie" for phillykev.
I AM A PROFESSIONAL. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME

Re: Suggestion.
First, Welcome!
Second, I can't agree more that using abreviations when not everyone knows what they mean is the opposite of communications. I used to sit on a committee and the guy who chaired it was a lifetime .gov employee. As such, he was well versed in the tactics of 'use it or lose it' , 'spend it this year or we won't get it next year', and ' abbreviate everything'. He used to send out emails loaded with three letter referrences to God knows what. I finally had enough when he sent an email out telling everyone what a fine job of snow removal he had done and kept referring to the "CLR sidewalk". I asked him on Sunday, after wracking my brain for three days, "What the hell is CLR?" His wife started laughing. She didn't know either and said, "I told you so". It means County Line Road. WTFO. (which means "what the f%ck , over")
