    Default Gunsmith in York area for ar

    I have a 14.5 inch upper coming in and I want a gunsmith to install an extended flash hider. I found one at bravo company for $35 and I want it pinned right? Recommendations for gunsmith in york area to do this and anybody have knowledge of bravos exerted flash hider?

    can be welded, silver soldered, or blind pinned and welded. your best bet is silver solder. takes some stock you can get off the internet in paste form and a MAAP gas torch. solder must be 1100* plus to be legal.

    Is there a reason you mention maap gas as opposed to standard propane? Heat, performance, etc?

    MAPP burns hotter than propane and produces a better (more consistent?) flame. Not sure how else to say that, really. I know it's pretty much preferred for silver soldering stainless.

    Thanks for all the information everyone, I used Devin Knaub from precision armory/gun bunker and he was great to deal with. Polite, prompt, nice work, and what I thought was very reasonable.
