Default What is your favorite Sig Sauer pistol?

The title says it all. What is your favorite model and caliber Sig and why? I never heard a bad thing about Sigs and I want to buy one.

Accuracy, easy carrying, ergonomic, reliability all can be found in the sig P 229. That is my daily carrying piece, right next to the P 238 when I have to carry in the pocket. I carry one in .40 and I just bought two new ones, the pictures is for the last purchase. It's the P229R, I am waiting for the P229 enhanced Elite to arrive.

If you never heard anything bad about a Sig, you haven't looked or asked around enough. All guns have complaints. hehe

Personally I like the P229. We own a Mosquito. I don't want to impression you but don't be sold soley on a manufacturer. Research and find the gun that fits you best. If you can find it in a Sig then get a Sig. Shoot several guns before deciding on one, or be prepared to go the expensive route and buy several. In my experience it's best to find a gun that suites your shooting until you have gained experience and can adjust to different platforms.

    Good luck!

The Mosquito, since it's the only SIG I own, it was cheap ($250 used) and digests inexpensive .22LR ammo so I can shoot it all night and not end up broke in the morning!

I'm not a Fan of Sigs, But I do own a P220 .45 Caliber, It's not a bad handgun, But Sigs are pricey.

226 for me. The one that came in first in the military trials but lost the contract due to price.

My only real experience with SIG so far is with my 9mm P239, which I really like. A while back I did rent a P250, and it seemed OK - very revolver-like trigger. But 250's haven't had the best reputation.

I dunno if I could say I have a favorite since I only own a P6 but I really like it. Feels great, conceals well, shoots great. The only thing I'm not not wild about is the DA pull but that's DA in general and not specifically the Sig trigger. A 226 and a 239 are on my list to get here someday.

I prefer the older models. Seems Sig has been more concerned with different finishes and such lately unlike their older models.
