Default Open Carry Dinner December 26-30th? -- ERIE

    Hello,

My name is Steve and I am a resident of Erie. I am an active member with OpenCarry.org, a website dedicated to raising awareness to the RKBA through the open carrying of firearms.

A group from Utah representing OpenCarry.org recently garnished a lot of positive media attention when multiple media reporters attended the dinner.

I thought that, because Erie has such a large amount of activist firearm owners, I could organize an OpenCarry.org dinner for fellowship and discussion.

Anyone interested? I was thinking December 26th through December 30th, if a group of us could agree on a date...

I'll be bringing at least five people.

Sounds like a great idea but I'll be out of town that week with family.

Welcome to the board. I also live in the township. I will be muzzleloading that whole week and will be returning well after dark. Please keep me informed as to where the event will take place so I can sit across the street and photograph Millcreek PD flying into the parking lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You may want to call the local media. They would be there with cameras rolling for sure. I am also sure that Tim Hahn from the Erie Times News would be interested in covering the story.

This has nothing to do with OC or not. I live in the township, and have done so for several years. I am out and about quite a bit. I have never seen anyone OCing in the township. The township has gone from rural to the biggest suburb you could imagine. The sheeple mentality abounds. I was not ripping on the guys idea, I think it is great, and was dead serious about the media coverage here. A big story on the news here is a garage fire. This would be a great way for these folks to actually get the true facts of OC. Whether or not I OC has nothing to do with my previous post.

The police will more than likely be called to this event. That is a prediction of mine based on certain observations. And for the Silverback.....I have seen them eat their own poo on the discovery channel. LOL

Bob Merski recognizes the legality of open carry, however said in an email that you may be "layed out on the ground for officer safety" if you open carry.

Please, if anyone is interested in attending this event, let me know. The power of numbers will help greatly.

To all the nay-sayers: What do you have to be afraid of? The law is clearly on your side. Open carry in Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia is as lawful as wearing a red shirt on sunday.

I've seen you eat your own poo in the last OC thread we "discussed".
