I guess I should have said 'private' message. I was trying to reply to a classified. I've been able to do so in the past; but not today.

users have not been able to post a reply to the classified ads since 2008 or so... so sorry, you haven't been able to in the past, according to your join date
there is a big notice in RED in every ad you look at that says this:
Please Note: You can not reply to other people's classified ads, it is not a problem with your account. Contact them either via email or private message.
posters must PM or email ad posters."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH
