Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
Very nice haul, wouldn't have any idea where to begin to try and put a value on it since most that stuff looks to be older than me.
If you are planning to sell some of it off I would be interested in the 25 cal bullets. I didn't see any the picks, but if their is any 307, would be interested in that also.

Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
I have a set of .32-20 dies which are missing the decapper. All three dies are in pristine condition (not in a Herter's box, regretfully).
I'm interested in finding out what the set is worth.
Anyone in the market please contact me and I'll gladly take and supply photos.

Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
Yeah, I know its a couple years old.
But it also deals with rare equipment and it comes up when you Google "Herter's Dies."
History is a wonderful thing and sometime it seems to make more sense to talk with people who have a history with the equipment. I will start a new thread to make everyone happy.
Adding to this thread got at least one response, although it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks

Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
No problem with the old thread on my part as I had not read it before and find it interesting. As to your question, I saw some Herters dies last month at a local gun show. The prices were consistent with old Lyman, Pacific, etc; they were in the $20 - $35 range depending on the condition, caliber, and if the box was still there. I think they did not raise much special interest as some folks are still using them as their regular loading dies. I had a Herters press up until a couple of years ago that I used for case forming as it was really strong. When I moved, I traded it and some other stuff off as it did not fit on my refurbished bench with my progressive and Rockchucker. At gun shows in PA like Roulette, you can almost expect to see some Herters equipment. Hope this helps.

Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
Thanks, it sure does. I just talked with the lady who owns them and she said sell, so I shall find a place where they don't take too much and put them up. I think I have one of their "weighty" presses in the garage I'll put up as well.
As for updating, I told my son to check out the 444 from C-H, major tool!

Re: bought a lot of older reloading tools today
About a year ago I was given some reloading equipment that I cannot use and I never really looked into it as far as value, etc. I'm not looking to sell them but I'm moving and don't want to take it with me so if anybody is near Easton and is interested let me know. Here's a list.
one Dillon 450 frame
one Lyman No 55 powder measure
two Bullseye pistol powder measures
one supersize model SS77 press
one Meepos gun shop single stage press
three Trueline Junior presses
one with four die
one with 3 die and no handle
one with no die and no handle
one Deluxe single stage press
