Re: Bad experience 3rd time Ocing...
Yep, I've heard interviews with different guys, known tough guys, MMA fighters and the like, who say that every once in a while some drunk in a bar wants to prove how tough he is and starts with them for no reason. I can see the same thing happening with a gun and some drunk. Hell, we read about it here happening with sober people at retail locations. "Bar fight" is a common phrase for a reason.

Re: Bad experience 3rd time Ocing...
Another good point. In HS I had long hair, dressed like a metal head and a phase as a punk with a multi colored spike mohawk. One of the guys in our crew dressed like a preppy. I used to get hassled by the local cops all the time, had trouble getting a job. He had none of those issues. His older brother told me what I guess he told him. "Be who you want to be, but no reason to advertise to strangers." For awhile I though, "Screw that, I'm not going to conform, screw the man." Eventually, I took his advice, cleaned up my appearance, and life got much easier. Didn't change who I am, just how I presented myself.

I can just imagine this MAWG call... !
ANYWHO! If I am drinking, concealed to me is a damn good idea.
I know how much to drink and when to leave, and others can see how much you have been drinking, and that in itself could pose a threat to you.
I would rather be able to have a few drinks and be able to protect myself from the asshole who is going to attack or rob me on the way home rather then get completely trashed ( which does not seem fun to me ) and be a walking target.
but in my mind, certain places I go I will conceal, others, OC with PRIDE.
Offtopic:
I constantly profile people by how they look as soon as I walk out my front door. Maybe it's just me but it is part of my situational awareness. I usually do not trust people because I have seen how people act and what they do, most of them (to me) act like frickin animals.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Bad experience 3rd time Ocing...
Also I would just like to say that do to the way I dress I cant carry a IWB to conceal so I tried my best to conceal with a hoodie. I know its probably not the best idea to bring a gun to a club but I always here about stabbings and people ganging up on one person and I dont really wanna trust my life with the bouncers especailly the ones at the hardware bar. I guess I was nieve since Im new to ocing that since there was no signs that they would be okay with it. Oh well I learned I valuable lesson next time Ill just have to conceal better and there definetley getting a letter from me.
