About $40 from your local smith.....down to 2.5lbs......

About $100 if you put in a Timney yourself.....down to 2lbs.....sometimes less.

About $200 if you put in a Jewell yourself....down to half a pound.........sometimes less.

Nothing ......if you adjust the stock trigger yourself to 3-4lbs back backing off the trigger spring return screw a bit and NOT touching the sear contact screw. 700's don't have sear block safeties...(with the stock trigger group).....they are not very drop safe. Leave your sear contact area alone.

Never a bad choice. It should take 10 min.

lol, I was just fixing to say that I could help him adjust that trigger. I do understand the piece of mind that might come with letting someone else do it, if he feels they are more competant. You'll like the mod, hope you enjoy.
