Can't "Close" classified ads.

I've sold a few items recently and tried to change the prefix to "closed" as I've done in the past but that option isn't available in all of the ads I've placed.

It's still stated in the Classifieds Overview, Rules and Suggestions,

Quick Overview of Posting a Classified Ad

4. Close your Classified Ad: Once you have sold the item you are selling or found the item you are buying, please edit your original ad and change the "Prefix" to the previously mentioned [CLOSED] prefix. This will help our staff locate ads that need to be moved to the archives in an effort to unclutter the ad boards. Please note that we also archive classified ads that have not been updated within the last month.

Specific examples:
An ad that I placed on Feb 26, and edited on March 4, I was able to "go advanced" and change the title/prefix to "Closed".

An ad that I placed on Jan 20, and bumped about once a week then tried to edit to "Closed" on March 4, I didn't have the option to change the prefix. I've tried since then and still don't have that option but I can go back to the other ad and the option is there.
FWIW, I edited these ads within minutes of each other on March 4, and I never had a problem with any other ad before then.

It appears as though ads that were originally placed more than a month ago can't be edited to change the title but ads that were placed less than a month ago can be.
I see and understand this line:

Please note that we also archive classified ads that have not been updated within the last month.

but I update/bump on a weekly basis, archiving isn't what's happening here.
I'd like to play by the rules if I can. Is there a simple answer to my long winded question?

report the ad you want closed, with a request that it be closed and we'll do so.

s for the rest, i'm not an admin, cant answer that.
