Liacouras Center CC
Not much from the search section available on this topic. Any one with experience going to the Liacouras Center? I'd hate to be unarmed in that neighborhood. Can I carry there or do they search/pat down/wand/metal detectors/etc.?

Re: Liacouras Center CC
Usually depends on the event.
Sesame Street Live? Doubt they'll do anything.
Hoop Magic Celebrity Basketball featuring Rap Stars vs. NY City Playground Legends? They'd better strip search...the players.

Bringing this old thread back to life.
There were no pat downs, searches, or metal detectors at today's Villanova - Temple basketball game at the Liacouras Center.

Re: Liacouras Center CC
I went to the Fallout Boy concert here last night and thought it would be useful to share my experience since there seems to be some conflicting reports.
At least for last night, CC would've been nearly impossible. There are signs posted at the entrance that are obvious and state no weapons, and while there were no metal detectors they were doing thorough pat downs that would've easily found pretty much anything (they went down my sides, around my waist -- dangerously close to my crotch I might add-- felt the items in my pockets and then down the sides of my upper legs). MAYBE something like an ankle-holstered LCP would've gotten by them but even that would've been pretty risky.
The bag policy was also very strict, I saw a number of people refused entry for backpacks and larger bags, and they seemed to be doing thorough searches of the ones that were allowed through.

Re: Liacouras Center CC
Anything new on this? I'm going on Wednesday to see Ravi Zacharias and didn't want to get there and have to run back to my car---going with a bunch of people.
UPDATE: Went last night and there was no way I would have been able to CC into the center. I left my firearm in a lagged lock box in the car as I had a feeling security would be tight---and it was. I left my wallet and a small key in my pocket to see how well they scanned. They picked it up quickly...no dice.Last edited by mikelets456; April 13th, 2017 at 03:50 PM.
