Largest US city with concealed carry??

What is the largest US city that has concealed carry ? How are their crime numbers? I guess NYC would not count because if you haven't been to Bloomberg's house for dinner you aren't going to get one. I think you would need ratios concealed carry per 100,000.

If you live in a California County that will issue a license, the answer is Los Angeles (#2). Next in line is Chicago, obviously a no-go. So the answer to the question I think you are asking is Houston, followed by Phoenix, Philly, and San Antonio.

Los Angeles is NOT a 'shall-issue' locale though. Like NYC, your rich & well (politically) connected can get one. Houston would get my vote.

Heh, heh, heh... I made the call on the "SHALL issue." The city with the greatest percentage of carrying population, and - most likely - greatest NUMBER of CCW'ers, would in fact, be Houston.
