It's spelled Bersa. There not bad, they have been making the 380 for quite some time and it hasn't changed much at all so it must be working for them. There inexpensive guns and are a good size for carry purposes, I like my 380's to be pocket size so I stick with KelTec and LCP's; as far as I know they don't have any real major issues, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Only issue I personally know about is the spring for the trigger reset. It was a known issue that has been fixed by replacing the spring (factory fix). Bad batch on I think just the CC, concealed carry, series.

Aside from that I like my fiance's. It's pretty accurate for such a small pistol. Great gun for a low cost.

A guy I work with carries a Bersa and seems happy with its performance and concealability. While I haven't shot his I have handled it and the weight and ergonomics are good. I've not read anything really bad about them.

I have one, was my first carry gun and it always went bang. Good accuracy, fit my big hands with the extension, lifetime warranty. I have nothing bad to say about it.

i had mine out yesterday, never fails to go bang, and it's quite accurate for a .380, had it for a few years and never had any type of problem.

Bought one for my wife. Never had a problem with it. She carries it and its accurate. I was so impressed with it I bought a Bersa thunder 9UC pro. That one is just as good.

Your friend could do worse. Decent guns for the money, fit and finish isn't perfect, but they get the job done. Everyone that owns them seems to love them. YMMV.

I bought one about 11 years ago as my first gun. I still own it.
I carried that for about 6 years before I got a few others. I NEVER had a problem with it. Fired about 6-700 rounds through it.
My wife LOVES it, and I am trying to get her to carry it.

There are lots of others that say they are junk and nothing but problems. I can not say that.
