    Default Snow shooting

I know, I know. I hate people like me. I am going on a rant about the damn snow. I know it is Erie, and that it is only the start of March, but this year I will proclaim that "I am sick of it". I wish to be able to pick up brass without it being burried in the snow.

Yeah, I hear ya! Although, we had a pretty mild winter in Lancaster this year, snow wise anyhow.

Is this brass from your AR? I bought a brass catcher net that sets up beside the gun, on the bench. Obviously, this works best for bench shooting, but you can also put the net on a tripod if you wish to catch brass from a standing position.

You could also get one that mounts to the upper receiver if that would work better for your shooting style.

Pistol brass... that's another story. I usually end up with frozen fingers digging my brass out of the snow.

Woke up to a few fresh inches this morning. I was planning on hitting the range after church, but have just changed my mind. Pistol brass is my concern.

I'm with you. I NEVER complain about snow, but I've had enough this year.
Not that we haven't had worse years, but it just seems we've had a lot of wet shit this year. The last 5 or 6 (including today) have all been wet. I'm used to fluffy powder. I have about 1/3 mile of lane to clear, and it's getting old.

    Edit:
I guess I should be happy. Yesterday the forecast was for 6-12". Now 3-6".

I'm with you brother. I am not even going to bother clearing my driveway. It will be melted in a few days. Still waiting on that "sleeper" 18 -24 incher we always get mid to late March. Robins in the yard seem confused too!

Taking delivery of a Kubota tomorrow that has a loader and backhoe attachments. It's first job is to get some of the ice out of my driveway. The snowblower is history.

Yeah we have not had (around here) our late March early April storm in a few years. This will be the year no doubt.

I don't mind the snow, it's the cold that comes with it, I can snow and be 70, right?

When I was younger, every time it would snow I would be ecstatic. Sled riding, snowmen. I always loved to play in it.

Now that I am an old crotchety man, I hate brushing it off the cars. I hate walking through it, driving in it, shoveling it. I'm just ready for spring.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.
