    Default Norinco NHM 91 RPK?

I hate the thumbhole stock and wood on the upper and lower handguard.

Will I be breaking any laws if I was to replace the ugly thumbhole stock, lower handguard, and upper handguard with authentic Norinco or Polytech wood?

And I never thought how difficult it would be to get these parts too.

It can be done. You would need to add 4 USA parts. get a tapco trigger set, US made mag and floorplate and your just about done

I want to leave the trigger set because Norinco triggers are the best.

If I get a US mag that counts for 3 and instead of putting on the Chinese pistol grip, I put on a Tapco pistol grip that counts for one, will that suffice?

Some tell me I need to replace 5 parts and you say 4.

Please help me out with the clarification of how many parts I need to replace.

I really don't need a felony charge just because I want chinese wood on my gun.

    Thanks and it's greatly appreciated.

I second the Ironwood suggestion. It's just easier.

But if you're insistent, use this web gizmo to check for compliance in your build:

You'll learn a thing or two this way and then be able to help someone else down the road.

I just built my MAK 90 over the weekend.

I used the VLTOR modstock adapter.

    Magpul MOE stock

    TAPCO SAW grip

    Ultimac Scout top rail/gastube

And bought TAPCO mags and followers for steel mags.

    Compliance was met with above

    Leave the trigger alone.
And if you want to race, name the place and I'll show you where it's at mother f@#$&#!
