Default Pittsburgh OC discussion with police

A week ago I was working my part-time armed security job and a Pittsburgh cop came up the sidewalk. I know the officer and started general chit chat. Another security officer asked a question out of the blue about OC and it's legality. Knowing the answer I kept quiet and waited to hear the officers response. The response was that it is legal. The guard was surprised but I was glad to hear the officer knew the law. Then a real good looking women walked by and the discussion abruptly changed.

But in all seriousness, this has been my experience with the MAJORITY of Pittsburgh cops. The problem lies in that when one DOESN'T know the law and has already detained an OCer, the others won't correct him, and the OCer is further harassed.

I know A LOT of PGH cops, they all seem to know the law whenever it has come up.

I have found this to be true also. I OC between Pittsburgh and Monroeville, and all the small towns in between. I have yet to come accross a pittsburgh officer that has not known about OC being the law.

Not to be a dick but I don't believe that OC is the law. OC is not against the law, which makes it legal. It's being legal has been referenced in PSC decisions, but there is no mention of OC anywhere else in the law. In 6108, it specifically states that no person may carry a firearm on the streets of Philadelphia unless they have a LTCF or are exempt from the requirements of 6106.

Sorry for being imprecise. I am going off the meaning that if it isn't specifically MADE illegal.. then it is Defacto legal. Sorry if there was any confusion.
