Re: need advice
If you don't reload, the 9mm will be cheaper to shoot. Otherwise, it's a personal preference.

Re: need advice
I agree, 9mm is cheaper, that's good enough for me.

22a is on sale at Cabela's this month for $199. Usually $249.

Re: need advice
I would also recommend 9mm. Cheap to shoot, more capacity, lower recoil. Probably millions of people have been killed with 9mm when you think about all the Lugers, MP40's, Stens, MP5's, and Beretta M9's that have been used in wars. You can say it is a proven caliber. Also please be more specific with your thread title, thanks.

I just bought a 9Pro, so far it's been a great gun. I've been shooting a 22A for practice for a lot of years.

Re: which one to buy m&p 9mm or 40
I have the M&P9. I love the thing. It's accurate right out of the box. I went with the 9 because it's cheaper to shoot and I'm way more accurate with it than a 40. But if accuracy and ammo prices aren't an issue than a 40 might be the way to go. It has a little more ass behind it. I don't think you can go wrong with either.....Have you thought about it in 357?

If your getting the full size get the 40 S&W, if you get the compact get the 9mm.
The fullsize 40 is 15+1 and the compact 9 is 13+1.
If you could handle the bit of extra power go with the 40 !You Can Take My Gun When You Pry it From My Dead, Cold, Hand !
