Like he said, you can't turn a brick into a sponge. I've been using Limbsaver pads for about four years on a lot of my guns and they really tame recoil but I'm finding they wear fast. I put a Kick Ezz on my trap gun a year ago and after almost 3000 rounds it's not showing any wear and it absorbs recoil as well or better than Limbsaver. I think that's what I'll be using from now on although they are really a tough installation. When getting down to the final shaping you have to freeze them to get them hard enough to grind and they thaw out quickly. If you don't have the proper tools or the skill pay a pro to install it.
The older I get, the better I used to be.

Yeah, I don't have the skills or tools

I know Limbsaver has some prefit ones, probably wind up with that
